Puerto Rico High Fashion Week 2012 featuring The Blondes 

JapiCHIC is the new fashion blog on the block.  JapiCHIC’s launch coincides with none other than the fashion industry’s most prominent event, fashion week, which is celebrated around the globe in synchronous ways.  Today we highlight our very own Puerto High Fashion Week, blasting the runway from September 19-22, 2012.

Puerto Rico High Fashion Week 2012 is the preeminent event in the Puerto Rico fashion industry and in the Caribbean.  Taking place in a new scenario this year, the Roberto Clemente Coliseum, the Puerto Rico High Fashion Week marks its 12^th edition of local fashion extravaganza.  This event allows fresh and experienced fashion designers to display their latest collections in runway shows for the benefit of buyers and fashionistas to take a look at the latest trends.  Most importantly, this event lets the industry know what is “in” and what is “out” for the season.

Like in previous editions, the Puerto Rico High Fashion Week 2012 showcases local distinguished designers, up-and-coming designers or “The New Generation” and exciting international designers.  Featured this year are the Spring/Summer 2013 collections from fashion newcomers such as Juliana Abislaimán and Amaury Matos, and renowned designers Eddie Guerrero, Rubén Darío, David Antonio and Lisa Thon.  Puerto Rico High Fashion Week 2012 goes out with a bang today featuring Colombian designer Gustavo Arango and New York based celebrity designers The Blonds, composed by David and Phillipe Blond.

The Blonds have been called The Kings of Bling because of their ultra glittery and embellished, intricately extravagant and glamorous creations.  Their stunning masterpieces have been worn and coveted by fashion, movie and music icons such as Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer López, Fergie, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton, Kylie Minogue, the Barbie doll, among others, and covered in mainstream fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, GQ and Prestige.  Here are just some of the stars that have been bejeweled, bedazzled, gowned and corseted, studded and spiked by The Blonds.
